SriLankan brings Bombay Canteen to Botanik

The Bombay Canteen is a Condé Nast recognised restaurant located in the heart of Mumbai, India, serving up modern Indian cuisine derived from traditional recipes from all over the nation.

It has also been listed as one of the top 50 restaurants in the world, and Botanik had the pleasure of hosting Thomas Zacharias, Head Chef and Partner and Rahul Raghav, Bar Manager with their kitchen team.

The event hosted by popular Colombo rooftop destination Botanik Bistro and Bar in partnership with Sri Lankan Airlines, endeavoured to engage their audiences with tasteful and intelligent cuisine, and to put Colombo, Sri Lanka on the map as an international culinary destination.

It was a huge success, as over 250 guests visited the venue across the two nights and experienced an incredible journey across India through ingredients, music, décor and getting one-on-one explanations of the history and ingredients in each and every dish by The Bombay Canteen team themselves.

Botanik and Sri Lankan Airlines plan to continue bringing international culinary talent down and positioning the city as a hub for food and drink.
